  • Q: Do I have to install BixAgent to monitor my servers?

    • A: No, BixServer can monitor many services and devices such as HTTP and databases by using regular protocols. Examples include HTTP, POP3, SMTP, Open Ports and SNMP.

  • Q: Can I use my own SQL Server?

    • A: Yes BixData can be installed with a built in server (PostgreSQL) or any other SQL server such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server or FireBird.

  • Q: Which Operating Systems are supported?

    • A: FreeBSD, Linux, Mac OSX, and Windows. Supported will be added for Sun Solaris Sparc and x86.
