BixData 2.0 Alpha 2

Alpha 2 is released as a internal test

It demonstrates the release builds of the Agent, Server and Desktop.

Whats new

• Graph in BixDesktop shows all PDH/SMART values
  To create a graph, connect to a an agent, i.e. agent://localhost, then choose Graph from the Menu bar, enter a tab name, and choose any of the source counters

• Linux BixAgent for redhat 9
• SMART data plugin on Linux
• Memory Disk and Network Interfaces data plugin on Linux
• PDH data plugin on Windows is now complete
• Removing ServiceChecks, Actions, Notifications work.

BixDesktop

• Global Control+L hotkey to highlight the connect bar
• Situation Room
  • Rename / change color of tags
  • Filter to differentiate tag names and plain text ("West Coast" as a tag and "West Coast" as a string are equivalent now)
  • Rename a host
  • Smart Tags
• Notification Setup
  • Editing ServiceChecks is not implemented yet
  • Rename Service Checks / Actions / Notifications
  • Applying changes to S/A/N
• Reports And Graphs
  • Can't edit templates

BixAgent

• No interface to specify configuration of subscriptions yet
• Disk and Memory modules don't report meaningful names for data fields
• Smart module may not report SCSI drives to BixDesktop
• sometimes crashes on exit

BixServer

• No interface to setup agent subscriptions
• Rename Service Checks / Actions / Notifications
• Applying changes to S/A/N
• sometimes crashes on exit
