FreeBSD not reconized on desktop

I'm running BixServer on a FreeBSD 6.0 server, an agent on the same server, another agent on another FreeBSD 6.0 server and both are not showing they are FreeBSD server/agents in the BixDesktop. However, when I started an agent on a RedHat (Fedora Core 4) server and then added&connected to it with the same BixDesktop it showed it was a Linux server that was a BixAgent.

The FreeBSD agents are all 2.5, while the FreeBSD server is 2.6.

If you require any additional information please let me know. Also, when will the 2.6 FreeBSD agents be fixed? They seem to crash on every FreeBSD server I've tried them on (4 in total all 6.0+).

Hi Joe,

2.5 FreeBSD does not support getting the Smart Tags : ie. OS.

2.7 will be out before the end of the week, including FreeBSD.

Awsome good to hear. I've been evaluating BixData and several other packages for use to monitor my company's assets and I gotta say I'm impressed!
