Postgres and Tomcat Monitors

Do you have agents to monitor Postgres and Tomcat or can one write and plug it in.

What do you need to monitor specifically? If you want to see if your services are up, you can use a port service check. If you're running a web site on tomcat you might also want to try an HTTP service check.

What kind of plugin would you want to write? What language are you thinking of using? BixAgent is designed to support plugins, and we are considering releasing an API in the future.

For now, if you have any ideas for functionality that you'd like to see in BixData, please do post here in the feature request forum. We are very interested in hearing your suggestions.
