Plug-ins are a great way to extend the functionality of BixData and turn it into a powerful platform to monitor and control your environment!

The BixData SDK is intended for system administrators and programmers who wish to extend the functionality of BixData through plug-ins.

Currently BixData version 2 supports plug-in extensions to be written in C/C++ for all platforms supported by BixData.

BixData 2.5

We're excited to release version 2.5 of BixData Cluster and Systems Management Software.

BixData now supports Macintosh OS X for PowerPC and Intel processors. All components are supported for Mac: BixServer, BixAgent and BixDesktop. We also support Universal Binary, so one installer is used for easy deployment on any OS X version.

BixDesktop also has a new and improved user interface and a common look and feel across all platforms. Context sensitive web based help is now available from within BixDesktop.

This release includes important fixes and minor improvements for BixAgent and BixServer.

BixData 2.4.2

BixData 2.4.2 is now available for FreeBSD, Linux and Windows.
This release includes various small improvements for the 2.4 release and important fixes for BixServer, BixAgent and BixDesktop.

The focus of the improvements and fixes is to have a really stable release of 2.4 before we start working on our major 2.5 release.
