Windows
BixData is designed to natively support Microsoft Windows technologies. Native instrumentation on Windows means that BixData exports more than 10 000 data points that are available in real-time up to a second response time.
BixData supports
- Windows 98
- Windows NT 4
- Windows 2000
- Windows XP
- Windows 2003 Server
PDH and .NET monitoring
BixData natively supports Microsoft's Performance Data Helper (PDH) library. This gives us access to almost every performance related piece of data in a windows system.
Monitoring and support for Microsoft .NET framework version 1.0 and up is built-in to BixAgent. This allows you to monitor aspects such as .NET remoting, .NET application performance and any .NET specific performance data.

Manage FreeBSD, Linux and Mac OS X from Windows
Windows users who are not familiar with other operating systems, can easily manage and perform simple tasks as well as advanced monitoring from the Windows version of BixDesktop. BixData looks and functions the same across all platforms, and you can connect directly from Windows to another Operating System running BixAgent.

VMWare Management on Windows
BixServer supports management and monitoring of VMWare Server and VMWare workstation running on Windows 2000, XP and Windows 20003. Monitor critical resource usage of VMWare Server or any of the VMWare images. Control includes startup, shutdown, pause and resume functions, as well as remote shutdown of all VMWare running images.
Monitor VMWare images for excess resource utilization and shutdown the specific image on demand, automatically.
Windows Service / Privileges
Both BixServer and BixAgent can be run as Windows services without administrator privileges (certain functions may not be available - such as VM Management). BixData makes it easy to deploy as a Windows service by including command line parameters to install or uninstall as a Windows service, with the option to manually / automatically start on server power up.BixAgent Windows Deployment
BixData easily integrates into existing solutions to deploy the BixAgent. The BixData installer can either be integrated into a .msi installer or launched in silent install mode through a Windows domain login script.
Microsoft SQL Server Support
BixServer on Windows supports Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and up. This allows you to integrate with your existing Windows infrastructure and existing ODBC reporting tools. Import Operational and server monitored data from BixServer into your existing environment or use Microsoft Office to access BixServer report data.
Windows Vista
BixData will support Windows Vista and next generation Server when it is available later this year.
